“The world is wide open to you!” This is my strongest belief and the thing I wish more people would believe and cling to. It would ease the level of stuck we feel in our lives. It would free us from settling for things and people and situations that do more harm than good. It would allow us to give ourselves permission to go after the life our souls deserve.
Hi, I am Dr. Susaye Rattigan and I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with women, children and families in a variety of settings, and most recently in private practice for the past 5 years. I have had significant success with women who were in the midst of a significant life transition including leaving a toxic romantic relationship, getting over a painful breakup with the love of your life, moving through the grief of losing a beloved child or spouse.
I am passionate about helping women reconnect with themselves and live to their fullest potential. As someone who has experienced a number of significant transitions and have lived to survive and thrive in the face of difficulty, I will help educate you, teach you and guide you to utilize new skills, so you can be happier, and even find exciting ways to enjoy a new found hope in life.
My goal is simply to help you move into thriving, whatever that may look like for you.
This is your life…don’t just survive it. Thrive!
I look forward to talking!
I haven’t always been at this place where I can easily see and accept that there’s no need to remain stuck. Actually, I have been stuck in various ways for a number of years and fighting the stigma of what it means to be a doctor, a woman, a young girl, someone with a history of abuse, unmarried, strong, black has been a part of my journey. Yet it wasn’t until I accepted the fact that what’s more important than all of that is my acceptance of myself and all the isms that come with me, that i was able to be happy.
I have learned a number of tools, strategies, skills and tools to help myself and as a result to help you move through whatever is keeping you stuck.
Originally from St. Mary, Jamaica, I have lived in Lucea, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay for the past 7 years , fulfilling my dream. A new chapter of my life has taken me back to America where I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2010, but my passion for helping strong women in Jamaica and internationally thrive in their lives is still ever present. I ventured into the online world in 2014 while building my face to face practice in Jamaica. Over the years, I have placed my online work on hold as I tended to my full-time business and so I am happy to be fully online now and still able to do the work I love.
I’m excited to meet you and help you on your journey.
